Sunday Spirit: A wedding

This has been an eventful weekend so far. I went to a friends wedding yesterday and it was so beautiful. Really a day to remember for them, I hope. We helped make the day a little bit more special with a few songs chosen by the bride. Weddings are so magical, no matter how big or small.

Me and Him. Our first wedding ever.

Me & the gorgeous bride. I'm wearing my graduation dress.

The happy couple listening to us singing for them.

Marianne - hairdo by me.

Balloons going off with lots of happy wishes from the guests. Some of them got caught in the tree, the scene ended with me climbing the tree to release them.
This song, a special request from the bride, is still ringing in my ears.

Have a happy Sunday!

Braided Hairdo Tutorial

I've always been very into hair. I remember growing it long when I was little. I wished for the longest hair and when they finally got long, I tried all sorts of new braids and updos. So, it only seemed natural to start doing hair tutorials. I love inventing new hairdos and trying new styles.
This over the head braid has become a fast favourite this summer. Once you get the hang of it, it's rather quick and jealous looks are guaranteed (lol).

Here's the how-to:

Wardrobe Reinvention: Switching styles

Do you know the feeling of opening your closet door, staring blankly at your clothes for 5 minutes and then shutting the doors again? Do you know the sensation when you're in a hurry and you find yourself panicking about what to wear?
There comes a time in every woman's life when she is tired of her wardrobe and is looking for some change. You could go out and buy some new clothes and every now and then that is a necessity. But, there is another way you could spice up your style without spending money you don't have. Reinvent your style by mixing and matching your existing garments into completely new and exciting outfits. I think we're all guilty of falling into the habit of putting together the same outfits over and over again. I know I am! Well, it's time for some creativity and adventurous spirit. I'm starting a new blog series called "Wardrobe reinvention". Take on this journey with me, and I guarantee you won't be sorry!

Today's post is all about switching styles by changing as little as possible. I created two outfits using a newly refashioned skirt (tutorial to come soon). The changes are subtle, but they completely transform the feel of the outfit.
